Do you know where you are going?

I am learning more and more as I travel this journey of life – that having a destination in mind is important and needed, otherwise like many people we may end up in an unfamiliar place, and hoovering there for an unexpected amount of time.   Why?  Because we failed at our First Attempt In Learning.

We must write down our goals, share them with people who will help us to remain accountable for our progress, and who will encourage us when we get distracted on the course.  Our vision of the future for ourselves, and the choices we make to get there are our responsibility.  Yes, we may not have had the best parents/or lack of.  We may have had an awful, lonely start, but today, right where we are; we have the power to change the course.  We have the power to make a different decision- to be, do, act and live better.  NO, it is not easy, it is not simple, IT IS a task, a hard task, an unfamiliar new behavior.  But one thing I can tell you – if you do not get caught up on the moments of inadequacy, and you keep trying every day, that a new you will flourish.  You will find a strength that has been buried over the years affecting your perception of yourself and the situations around us.  You will find a new you – a you that has existed all along under the layers of hurt, confusion, mistrust, abuse, and fear.  The new you, that is reshaped, changed, and focused.  The you that knows it takes hard work, discipline and persistence to make a difference.

Join me in mapping out our new direction, which we find in the place of sight that we cannot see, and the intuition that we cannot touch.  Dream big and make no mistake that your vision is obtainable – we have to seek it – It is there waiting just for us.
